The pandemic took a toll on people’s mental health and wellbeing. Experts from the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services in the UO’s College of Education gave this advice based on research:
- Set specific goals and track behavior
- Engage with nature
- Ask for what you need through direct one-on-one conversations
- Focus on behaviors you’d like to change
- Give more hugs
- Engage the asset of creativity
- Call more, tweet less
- Recognizing your needs is not a weakness — it’s a pillar of strength
