Winter can be a gorgeous time of the year with freshly fallen snow and twinkling lights strung through the streets. But, winter is also a time when most people feel more stressed out than other seasons. While it’s currently January and we’re through the hustle and bustle of the holidays – it’s still cold and dark for most parts of the country.

Let’s take a moment to recognize that burnout and the winter blues are a real ‘thing’ that we need to cope with. Plus, we are entering our third year of the pandemic…it’s completely normal to be burning out.

Give Yourself Some Credit. It’s been a rough three years and you’re still standing! Each night recognize the things that well that day…pick 3 to be grateful for.

Take Care of Yourself. We’ve all been running on empty and still trying to push forward. Check out our post on the 7 Types of Rest (And Why They’re Important), then nurture what you’re running low on.

Take a Breath. Throughout the day, take a moment to take a breath and relax your shoulders. If you can sneak in a five minute walk, do it!

Be gentle with yourself….only a few more weeks before warmer weather and brighter skies!
