Preparing to go back to college is supposed to be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. But let’s be honest, there’s good reasons in today’s world to be cautious. The goal of this message is not to scare you or put you into a place of fear. Rather, it is meant to be a guide to helping you navigate the next steps of your college experience, while being prepared and safe.

If you’ll be returning to campus and living in the dorms, make sure to talk with your advisers about safety precautions that are being put in place. Some schools may be altering mov-in times so that everybody is not sharing carts and elevators at the same time. Also, make sure that you’re participating in 6 feet of social distancing and wearing a mask properly as you’ll be moving back-and-forth between people as you move-in.

In preparation for move-in day you’ll also want to make sure to pack some extra hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, along with your pens, notepads, paper and all the essentials of starting off the year with a bang! Grab a bath caddy to store all your toiletries so that your items do not touch the bathroom counters and other surfaces – especially if you’re sharing bathrooms with the rest of your floor or roommates!
