Sororities and Fraternities are a large organization on most college campuses. There are various types of sororities and fraternities that range from education-based, invitation-only to more social based chapters. Going through the RUSH process is a great way to find the organization that best suits your personality.
Joining a sorority or fraternity can introduce you to a large network of people and creates life-long friendships. Becoming a part of the sisterhood, or brotherhood, can help you build leadership qualities and help you break out of your shell (if you’re the more shy type).
One of the great parts of being in a sorority or fraternity is the community service / philanthropic component. Each chapter has a charity that they are closely tied to and help promote, raise money for and participate with.
