Do you know that the little voice you hear in the back of your head isn’t really “you”? That voice is actually there to protect you and is known by psychologist as your “inner speech”! And boy is it negative! Your inner speech is constantly narrating your life while presenting its’ version of your life as if it were true. However, the voice is really narrating its’ interpretation of the events unfolding.
It’s time to kick the little voice to the curb by being mindful of your self-talk throughout the day. You can learn to manage the voice and change negativity into positive self-talk. But beware! It is a process and it takes constant practice – one little pep talk at a time.
