Whether this will be your first year of college or you’re returning to college – we can all agree that this year will not be what you expected it to be. First things first…breathe!

Every school aged kid across the country is on track to be doing something completely different. Some are going back to school with social distancing – others are having school as normal – and others will be solely online. Whichever scenario you’re in, it’s okay.

Take some time to envision what your new college life will look like – and replace the way you thought it was going to be. Here are some things that you may experience this year:

  • More Digital Textbooks. Digital textbooks will minimize your exposure to book stores and germs that may come from others handling the books. If you’re prone to highlighting your textbook, find a way to start a note-taking process that works best for you.
  • Online Study Sessions. Find friends or other students to start an online study group. Utilize zoom or another video chat platform to meet weekly. This will keep you social while getting in some great study time!
  • Remember Your Tech Background. You were bred for this! You’re living in the digital era and using technology is a breeze for you. You’ll just be incorporating more digital into your education this year.

This upcoming school year may bring new challenges, but you’re not alone. Your friends and students across the country are experiencing the same fears and changes. Connect with Your Success Coach, Kim Dalius to put together a plan for this year.
